About Meqaat Travel
Meqaat Travel is a Hajj and Umrah travel agency at 30 Romford Road, Stratford, London. We were founded in 2021 by Muhammad Rehan to give British Muslims a plain, honest way to book their pilgrimage one clear price, good hotels near the Haram and a person you can call at any hour. Since then more than 10,000 pilgrims have travelled with us. We are ATOL protected and approved by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.
Who We Are?
The name Meqaat comes from the Miqat, the boundary where pilgrims put on ihram and make their intention before entering Makkah. It is the point where the journey truly begins. We chose the name because that is where we want to be for our pilgrims: at the start, making sure everything is in order, and with them all the way through. Muhammad Rehan started Meqaat Travel after 10 years in Islamic travel, having seen too many pilgrims caught out by vague prices, hotels further from the Haram than promised and agents who stopped answering the phone once the money was paid. He set out to run an agency that does the opposite.

Muhammad Rehan founded Meqaat Travel in 2021 and still handles Hajj bookings personally. He has performed Hajj 2 times and Umrah 10 times, and leads the Meqaat Hajj group in Saudi Arabia each year.

How we work
- One written price. Every quote names the hotels, the airline, the nights and the total cost per person. Nothing is added later.
- Hotels we know. Our team has stayed in or visited every hotel we sell, and we give walking distances to the Haram in metres.
- One point of contact. The person who takes your enquiry stays with your booking until you are home.
- Support around the clock. A UK number and a Saudi number that answer 24 hours a day while you are away.
- Honest advice. If a cheaper package will suit you better, we will say so.
Licences and protection
- We are ATOL protected. Every package with flights is covered by the Civil Aviation Authority’s ATOL scheme. [Link to ATOL certificate]
- Approved by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah. Visas are processed through the official Nusuk platform.

We arrange Umrah and Hajj for families, couples, elderly parents, first-time pilgrims, students and mosque or community groups, and Islamic tours to Turkey, Egypt, Jordan and Morocco.
